so yah, what do you guys think? will they? man, i hope so. it would suck if Rumiko Takahashi just ended the series without having Kikyou and Sesshoumaru meet ever again. but i think that they will later on. in episode 116, kikyou saved rin from suikotsu. even after suikotsu told kikyou his past and then died, sesshie was still standing right behind her and watching. i think it's because he knew rin wanted to say something to kikyou before leaving. as soon as rin thanked kikyou, he immediately left. that's because his job was done: to thank kikyou but through rin (rin being the messenger between the two ) But you know what -- i have a feeling that sesshoumaru kinda thinks in the back of his head that he owes kikyou for saving little rin's life. it's a shame that he didn't come on time in episode 124 to save kikyou from naraku ( a little late coming there ) but i'm positively sure that eventually, sess will her pay back, which means that they will definitely meet later on in the manga/anime.

Well... This contains spoilers from the latest manga issues... so if you're not a spoiler-fan... well, just skip the next part. ^^;
**SPOILERS**
Sesshoumaru is trying to find Naraku's heart, which is hidden inside that baby Haku. Kikyou has run into Kanna and baby Haku, and she knows that is Naraku's heart. So who knows... Maybe they will meet again sooner than we think... and maybe they'll work together in order to kill Naraku... Ooooh, the possibilities....^^

Got more to say... I've been doing a lot of interpretations lately... Well, since I'm bored I'll just put it down. weeeeeee!! *goes down the slide* Oo-kee.. Let's go! In episode 116, Sesshoumaru finally gets a chance to see Kikyou and what she looks like. This seems to be quite necessary because it all ties up together, ne? Suikotsu with Rin, Sesshoumaru to go fetch Rin and Kikyou to go after Suikotsu. So it shouldn't be a surprise that Sess n' Kik would meet up with eachother. But for this, I think that Rumiko was trying to show Sesshoumaru's sudden interest in the miko (just like you said LK! ;D ). He's wondering about her and exactly what happened 50 years ago that made IY, his little brother, fall in love with that woman. He knows that there's something special about her, or else his hanyou of a brother wouldn't of fell for her. Moving on.. In episode 124, Kikyou faces off against Naraku. After a little talk, Naraku stabs her with his tentacles in her shoulder ( **note: the exact same shoulder that he, disguised as IY, clawed at 50 years ago). Kikyou falls into his river of shouki and then suddenly, Sesshoumaru comes in. Naraku runs off, making it obvious to Sesshie that his sole purpose was to kill Kikyou. Sesshoumaru is now curious as hell about the undead miko. He's definitely pondering about why Naraku would actually take the time to kill a mere human. Sesshie is now aware that Kikyou is no ordinary woman/miko. I think he's really drawn to the mystery surrounding her. When you see ep 124, I'd have to say that it wasn't that relevant to have Sesshoumaru in the picture. But why was he added in? I'm guessing RT is trying to show us that Sesshoumaru's interest in Kikyou is growing more deeper. And what about that quote of his he told Inuyasha...? "The only person who couldn't save her, was you." (or something to the lines of that) This line is intriguing the heck out of me even though maybe to some, it wouldn't be such a big deal. Why would Sesshoumaru say something like that? Well, to get Inuyasha off of his back, yeah. But other than that, why? Sesshoumaru could have just told him to shut up and silently walk away without saying another word. But he didn't. I take that quote as a very significant thing. I can't help but think that there's really some kind of hidden message behind it. Rumiko Takahashi is giving us hints! Precious clues!! I might be taking them too seriously, but heh heh, call me crazy. Can you imagine what it would be like if Sesshoumaru met Kikyou now?? He'd be completely surprised. Perhaps not on the outside, but in the inside. His curiosity will reach another peak and that time, there's no doubt that he won't walk away silently like he did back at Mt. Hakureizan. He'll definitely come up to her and have a little chit chat. So I do believe that maybe RT is trying to set things up between Sess and Kikyou and have them interact soon enough. Geee.... Was this too long? Ohwell. At least I had fun writing it down.

Why would I call you crazy, Midoriko? When it comes to Sess/Kiky, I usually read/see too much into things, too! XD
Anyway, I totally agree with you about Sessh's quote to Inu. This is how I see things: perhaps when Inuyasha told him he had 'just stood there and watched as Kikyou was killed', Sesshoumaru felt a bit guilty very, very, very, veeeeeeeeeeeeeery deep inside his heart (not necessarily for liking her or anything, but because he kinda owes her for saving Rin's life). So, as a way to get guilty off his back, he blames Inuyasha for letting Kikyou 'die'.
I've watched/read the entire Inuyasha series so far, and Sesshoumaru, be it in canon manga or filler anime episodes (aka 'The Woman Who Loved Sesshoumaru') has always repaid his debts. I don't think it'd be different with Kikyou. Also, I believe they'll meet again, if if it's in the final battle with Naraku. It's always like this: when something huge is happening and it has to do with Naraku, all the characters seem to get together in one place or at least run into each other once or twice. (hence the whole Hakureizan issue: Kikyou, Sesshoumaru and even Kouga were there, just when Naraku gets even stronger and finally leaves his hideout.)
Anyhoo, that's why I think they'll see each other again, and perhaps they'll play a huge part when it's time for Naraku's demise. Call me crazy, but for some reason, I see Inuyasha, Kagome (for being the protagonists of the series), Sesshoumaru (for his powers) and Kikyou (for being the only one who seems to know what she's doing when it comes to Naraku, and also for having more reasons to kill him than anyone else) teaming up against the hanyou fiend... Ah, that'd be so cool, ne? ^^

yah yah, i also think he does feel some guilt for kikyou's death, which could explain that quote of his!
yep, i share the same feelings. everyone will definitely gather together in the end to finally defeat naraku once and for all. and then sess and kikyou will notice eachother and something will happen between the two! hehe. i'm getting carried away with this..

I got bored again. Very disappointed with what's going on in the manga right at this moment because it is very booooring. No sign of Sess/Kik to come. I was just looking at the manga chapters of when Sess and Kik were put into the same scene and I noticed something. When I compared the anime and the manga, Sesshoumaru seems to be much more cold in the anime. Remember when Sesshoumaru met Kikyou at Mt. Hakureizan (yes, you do)? Before he left, he stopped to take a look at her and asked himself if that was the miko who sealed Inuyasha 50 years ago to a tree and then asked himself (more like to her) in his head, did suikotsu showed her how she'll end up. ....Ouch. Those words were pretty harsh. And when Inuyasha came by just when Kikyou fell into the river of shouki, Sesshoumaru told Inuyasha that he did not want to know his connection with that woman. Period. Now let's take a look at the manga.... Volume 27, Chapter 2631 [Rin runs after Sesshoumaru, while looking behind, smiling.] fx Rin tmp Rin Goodbye! 2 [Kikyou walks back to her horse.] Kikyou I have to leave here too... Before the dead-souls are used up, and I can't move... 3 [Closeup of Sesshoumaru, looking behind slightly.] Sesshoumaru That woman is also dead... Smells of bones and grave-soil. 4 [Misty frame.] Sesshoumaru Was she after all, the miko that sealed up Inuyasha?See how much more nicer he is? ^__^ He mentioned nothing about how she'll end up just like Suikotsu. I bet you that even after he left, he still thought about her. I guess it might be possible that Sess has seen her somewhere before, or else he wouldn't of immediately assumed that she was the miko that had to do with IY (ya, i admit it, Ruby-sama. >_< You won!!). Volume 29, Chapter 282Jaken {off} There's no way that woman survived. 3 [Sesshoumaru has turned and is leaving.] Jaken Ah, Sesshoumaru-sama. 4 [Streaked frame.] Inuyasha Wait a f(censored) minute, Sesshoumaru! 5 [Sesshoumaru stops and turns his head to look at Inuyasha.] 6 [View of Inuyasha.] Inuyasha You bastard... did you just watch it happen? While Kikyou was killed... 7 [View of Sesshoumaru.] Sesshoumaru ...... What kind of connection do you have with that woman...? Not that I want to know, but... www.wot-club.org.uk/Inuyasha/AHA! We caught you there Sesshoumaru!!!! You know that you so want to know XD Don't lie. There's no other way around it, the concrete evidence is right in your face. Sesshoumaru is, without a shadow of a doubt, fascinated by the miko. Even anti-Sess/Kik people have to admit it as well Rumiko Takahashi has been quite subtle when she makes Sesshoumaru have to deal with Kikyou-related situations. Notice how he doesn't even regard her as a worthless human and talk trash about her. He doesn't hold any hatred and animosity toward her at all (despite, her being the one who basically disgraced Inuyasha even more and giving him a bad reputation than before, falling in love with her and stuff). The only thing he has for her is his curiosity. Which I think is something Kikyou should be flattered about since normally, Sess doesn't show any of his full interest in anyone, especially a human. I guess I already stated my points above but I just wanted to show you a comparison between the anime and manga with sess and his intake on kikyou. Ofcourse, RT made a much more clear view on Sess' thought about her. That could indicate something *wink* I've re-fueled your hope once again for a Sess/Kik match. In any case..... I wrote this report down instead of doing my assignment. Ha! See how devoted I am to Sess/Kik before my schoolwork? ^^ I'll go take a snooze, this kinda drained me a bit. *flies away*

Wow, Midoriko! You sure did your homework on Sess/Kik! I never did notice the differences, but your right. He's alot colder in the anime than in the manga. Hopefully RT will make Sess's curiosity get the best of him and he goes and find Kikyo and then maybe something between them will happen or something like that. But I kinda doubt that she will do something like that, but we'll find out eventually.

heehee, thanks Meiling!
I just can't seem to understand why RT would make Sesshomaru interested in Kikyou for no reason. There must be something behind it. Or I could just be my wishful thinking. Them being together would be no problem if only the author would allow them to have some time together.
