-had to look on last page; forgot what they were talking about-
-locks Kikyou away in a convent to spend the rest of her days- After last night, I have decided this is for your own good.

*does not consent to the thwacking because Kikyou is already locked up for eternity and she is long gone from the reach of the bow*

Beautiful song!!! And very fitting...thanks for posting the lyrics! No more Kikeh for long time....nooooo!!!! It'll be a tiresome wait without our miko-sama (still a fun adventure, but with a feeling of a great loss nonetheless). Poor Sesshoumaru! *wink wink* Ooh, about the voices: I started watching Inu subtitles, and I love how Hidaka Noriko's voice is deep but sweet...very sisterly/comforting, yet tough when angry. She has such a sugoi voice!!! Willow's is ok, but I think it doesn't convey the depth of Kikyou's emotions as much as Hidaka's voice. Kikyou isn't just a miffed-off miko, she also has a caring heart that wants to help people and is pained at her new existence. In episode one when I heard Willow's voice, it sounded angry but only to an "inu you've been a bad boy!" extent. My earlier impression from Hidaka Noriko's voice was a sense of deep, deep passion...hinting at betrayal (but I wasn't sure until later, of course). Granted, I may be just partial to what I heard first, but Hidaka-san made me a Kikyou fan from her very first lines. :0)

I actually always liked her. That song always suited Inuyasha/Kikyou perfectly in my eyes (and many others). It was of course played during Inu's angst and such, but the lyrics have the whole beautiful ring of that couple as a whole. Its kinda like 'even though we've become memories I'll always think of you. I still do. I miss your warmth, I wonder where you are, and that may never leave me.' Thats really sweet and sad at the same time. Since I of course knew Kikyou would be coming back (and couldn't wait to laugh at the Kikyou-haters who hadn't bothered to watch the manga) I got a little sadish, but that episode was really well-done, and Inuyasha's first ever insert-song (during the series) was a great one.
