Ayame looked down at her business outfit and nodded slowly, as if in a tad bit of doubt, in agreement. "Maybe I could..."

"Look..." he leaned over the table and placed a reassuring hand over hers, grinning. "You'll do fine; I've known you only for about a half n' hour, and if I can already tell you've got the guts to do it, then there's nothing to worry about, no sweat."

A smile played her lips as she looked at him gratefully, "Thanks. It's been rough trying to keep my confidence up about this... and to sing and do all the work and meetings those two old farts send me to all the time." She looked slightly amused. "You know... For meeting you half an hour ago, I can feel like I can tell you all my worries without thinking about you telling anyone."

He matched her amused look; "Same here," he shrugged. "But anyway..." glancing over his shoulder, he nodded his head sharply at a man sitting by himself, coffee abandonned. "For some reason I don't quite think he appreciates it for some reason," Miroku sweatdropped.

Ayame binked a few times, giving him a quizzical look as she leaned over to her left and looked behind Miroku. Instantly seeing thatsame boy with those blue eyes as before, she quickly moved back to her original position and sweatdropped. "Err..."

"You don't think he was listening to us-- do you?" She scratched the side of her head, "Maybe he's from another company out to ruin both of ours... Or maybe... He's from a rival company out to learn out secrets!!" She seemed to just be saying ideas from the top of her head.

Miroku's sweatdrop enlarged. "Perhaps," he said absently, patronizingly.

Ayame's eyes narrowed dangerously, but she just shrugged it off. "My imagination gets the better of me sometimes." She simply justified.

"I see..." his voice retained its absentness as he openly stared over her shoulder at a raven-haired young woman exiting the cafeteria.

Ayame raised an eyebrow as she eventually looked over her shoulder to see what he was staring at. Upon seeing a girl, she turned back around and grinned slightly. "She work here?"

"Not that I'm aware of," he said somewhat evasively; which was kind of truthful...

Ayame rolled her eyes slightly as she began to munch on her neglected bagel. Pausing with her nibbling, she frowned, "Not like you don't know, but make sure you don't tell her you're a millionaire's son..." She muttered the next part darkly. more to herself then to him, "Evil bastar.ds will just use you until you buy them everything they want, then they'll just leave you for some other girl to use. Pigs..."

Miroku briefly made a face but he continued to watch the young woman make her way out. "Sango..." he breathed. "Her name is Sango...I wasn't aware she worked here and I'm pretty sure she has no clue I am in line to inherit this business...Father has a different last name, you see..."
He blushed slightly. "But I met her...At the diner on the corner...I thought she worked there."

"Ah." She replied, giving one last look towards the girl before returning back to her nibbling. "I'd prefer to just be single."
