I've been writing a new Sess/Kik fanfic. For now, there's no title or anything, for that matter, just a random section. Ja, it's crappy, but it's better than my old Sess/Kik fic. ^^;
Oh yeah, and on another note, this takes place somewhere around chapter 430 of the manga...^^;

“Get back!” shouted a young woman with silky black hair. Her hazel eyes, normally docile, possessed a certain fierceness to them at the moment.
“But Lady Kikyou!” protested an adolescent boy. He was armed with a kusarigama, but there was some hesitation in his stance.
“Leave! Before you are seen!” she persisted.
The boy didn’t move right away, but after a moment of thought, he dropped his stance. “Be careful…” With that, he bolted out of site, though he stayed close. No matter what, he couldn’t abandon Kikyou.
--
“Take Ah-Un and Rin,” ordered a golden-eyed man. His long silver hair gave him a somewhat delicate appearance, but his deadly expression suggested otherwise.
“Lord Sesshoumaru…?” questioned a small toad youkai.
“Are you questioning this Sesshoumaru, Jaken?”
“N-no, milord!”
“Good. Now get out.”
Jaken yelped and then did as he was told. He scampered out of sight along with a two-headed dragon and a young girl. However, as they ran, Rin stopped, turning to face the direction of the area from which they had been running.
“You stupid fool!” scolded Jaken. “We’re supposed to seek out a safe place!”
“Rin cannot abandon Lord Sesshoumaru so easily!” argued Rin.
“Ugh!” sighed the toad youkai. “What shall I do with you…?”
--
Though the thick shouki in the area prevented them from seeing one another, two figures stood ready for battle. Kikyou was ready to fire an arrow with her bow. Although she had intentions of fighting, she still managed to remain elegant. Not far away stood Sesshoumaru, his heirloom, a sword called Tenseiga, drawn. Despite his superior senses, he could only see a thick cloud of shouki, and it was the only thing that he could smell too. He growled at the thought of this helplessness. The enemy could strike at any time, and he wouldn’t be able to detect it until it was too late.
‘This Sesshoumaru will not lose so easily!’ thought the frustrated taiyouki.
‘You sent me to Hell, and today, I shall repay the favor,’ Kikyou hissed in thought.
‘It ends here!’ the two thought in unison.
Kikyou made the first move with her powers of purification. A brilliant white light enveloped her body, clearing the deadly clouds surrounding her. If Naraku was to attack her, she would know…and he did attack. Tentacles sprung from the ground and wrapped themselves around the miko. However, her purification abilities had no effect on him.
Sesshoumaru spun around at the sounds nearby. The shouki nearby had lessened enough for him to smell Naraku. Leaping through the fog, he bolted into the space cleared by Kikyou. His claws collided with Naraku’s shoulder while injecting their poison.
Naraku simply smirked at this. “Your weak poison has no effect on me. To think that I once desired to engulf you”
Kikyou took advantage of the distraction, reading her bow again. Her arrow, enveloped in a pink glow, hit the hellish demon, causing him to give her a menacing glare.
“You’ll die soon enough, wench!” he emphasized the last word.
Sesshoumaru frowned. “Stay out of this, miko.”
“I’ll do no such thing,” retorted Kikyou.
“Foolish woma-Ouf!” the taiyoukai was cut off as a bone-like tentacle collided with his ebony armor. ‘Had he hit much harder, my ribs would have shattered. I mustn’t distract myself anymore.’
With as much grace as he could muster, Sesshoumaru broke his fall with a flip in midair. He landed on his feet, though the blow that he had received knocked the wind out of him.
Meanwhile, Kikyou was fighting off a swarm of tentacles that surrounded her. She countered with an onslaught of arrows. Much to her irritation, her enemy was like a hydra; for every tentacle she shot down, two more seemed to grow in its place.
“Your attacks are futile!” hissed Naraku with a sadistic grin plastered on his face.
“Tenseiga!” Sesshoumaru snarled, holding out the sheath to his father’s sword. It flew out of the shouki and hovered before him. He dropped the sheath and took the hilt of the weapon.
“That sword cannot kill. You should know that fact,” jeered the former hanyou.
“You know nothing of Tenseiga,” growled the taiyoukai. ‘You will die here.’
Behind Naraku stood Kikyou, ready to shoot an arrow. Her eyes remained closed. ‘This is it. Failure shall result in my demise—again.’
“Die, Naraku!” shouted Sesshoumaru and Kikyou in unison.
The Meidou Zangetsu-Ha, the path that sent an enemy straight into the realm of the dead, accompanied by an arrow exploding with sacred energy, clashed at Naraku, causing the stronger youkai to shout out. An explosion followed soon after. As the debris settled, only fragments of shattered armor remained.
“…Is this it…? Did we defeat him?” asked the miko warily.
Sesshoumaru wasn’t listening to her question, and if he was, he refused to answer. He wouldn’t admit to her that his guess was as good as hers. Instead, he steadied his gasps of air and regained his regal posture.
A rustle from one of the nearby trees startled them both. Kohaku leapt out, a small smile on his face. “You defeated Naraku!”
Somehow, the boy didn’t notice the youkai standing near Kikyou, the one who sported a menacing glower at the moment. Instead, he was chatting happily with the undead miko.
‘I don’t believe that I’ve ever seen him seem so happy…’ remarked Kikyou in thought.
‘I should kill that boy…Speaking of children…’ mused Sesshoumaru before calling, “Rin, Jaken, you may return now.”
“Yes, Lord Sesshoumaru!” came the chime of Rin’s voice and Jaken’s squawking tone.
As the little girl came out of hiding, she noticed the young exterminator. “Kohaku!”
Kohaku’s mirrored Rin’s expression of surprise. “It’s you…Wait! If you’re here, Rin, then that means…”
It was only then that his eyes fell upon the Taiyoukai of the West. He inched back in fear at the sight of Sesshoumaru, which caused him to trip and fall on his backside. However, the fear in Kohaku’s expression lessened as he saw Sesshoumaru stand still.
“You’re not…going to kill me…?”
No answer came immediately. “Naraku wished for this Sesshoumaru to taint the Shikon no Tama with your death, and this Sesshoumaru refuses to do as that vermin wishes.”
Sighs of relief echoed from Kohaku, Rin, and Kikyou. Kohaku, still wary of Sesshoumaru’s wrath, took a step behind Kikyou. Meanwhile, Rin skipped over to Sesshoumaru.
“Will Kohaku journey with Rin?”
‘Since when did she make such decisions?’ wondered a miffed taiyoukai.
Kohaku averted his gaze from Sesshoumaru, expecting the youkai to be snarling at him. “Well…”
“Please!” pleaded Rin. “Rin would be so happy if Kohaku ventured with her!”
“Can Kikyou come too?” he asked.
The human girl beamed. “Yes!”
Sesshoumaru stifled a sigh of defeat. “Very well. However, if they slow the progress of this Sesshoumaru, then they shall be left behind.”

There are a few mysteries that the Sesshoumaru/Kikyou-gumi shall solve later on in the story. For example, when I decide to finish writing the chapter, then I'll probably have someone ask why Naraku died so easily and why the true one bothered to show his face. I just wanted you guys to know that I actually thought through this stuff to a certain degree.
