Aha! It took me a while, but it's finally here! The very first Sessh/Kiky Fanfiction Contest to ever be held! Here's all the information you're gonna need, as well as the rules for the contest:
Chapter One - About the Contest
Clause 01: This is a non-profit contest, made for entertaining
purposes only. Contestants should not expect pecuniary prizes and/or rewards of
any sort.
Clause 02: All contestants must submit their fanfics within six weeks
from the day the contest is officially on. Works submitted after the previously
mentioned period will not be accepted.
Clause 03: All judges must evaluate each fanfic impartially, according
to the writing aspects pointed out on Clause 15.
Clause 04: All contestants must agree to have their works posted on
the Hidden Hearts website, as well as their pennames and e-mail addresses for
future reference.
Clause 05: In case of disrespect for any of the rules, contestants
will be automatically removed from the evaluation process.
Chapter Two: About the Fanfics
Clause 06: All contestants must have standard disclaimers on their
fanfics.
Clause 07: All works of fiction, should they be Romance, must have
Sesshoumaru and Kikyou as the main pairing.
1º§ - Romantic interaction between other characters is allowed, as long as it:
I - is portrayed as a supporting coupling;
II - does not feature either Sesshoumaru or Kikyou;
2º§ - Love triangles are allowed, as long as the final pairing is Sesshoumaru
and Kikyou.
Clause 08: Fanfics should be one-shot and have a minimum of 10 pages.
There is no length limit, though.
Clause 09: All fanfiction ratings will be accepted. That includes:
I - [G] General Audience;
II - [PG] Parental Guidance Suggested;
III - [PG-13] Parents Strongly Cautioned;
IV - [R] Restricted-Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian;
V - [NC-17] No One 17 and Under Admitted;
Clause 10: All fanfiction categories will be accepted. That includes:
I - General;
II - Romance;
III - Humor;
IV - Drama;
V - Poetry
VI - Action/Adventure
VII - Mystery
VIII - Horror;
IX - Parody;
X - Angst;
XI - Supernatural;
XII - Suspense;
XIII- Sci-Fi;
XIV - Fantasy;
XV - Spiritual;
XVI - Tragedy;
XVII - Alternate Universe;
Clause 11: Not all fanfics have to be in English, though they should
have either an English version or Portuguese version.
Chapter 03 - About the Evaluation Process and Results
Clause 12: Judges are: Kikyou-sama,
Miko_Sun, Melian,
Luthien and Arwen.
Clause 13: Judges should be able to read both languages allowed in the
contest, English and Portuguese.
Clause 14: Judges will evaluate all submitted fanfics in a six-week
time, to start counting right after the deadline for submissions.
Clause 15: Judges will impartially evaluate various writing aspects.
That includes:
I - Characterization;
II - Descriptions and/or dialogue;
III - Plot;
IV - Grammar;
V - Originality;
Clause 16: Contestants who earn the majority of votes will be declared
winners. Should a contestant win by unanimity, judges shall vote once more so to
choose the second winner.
Clause 17: Results are to be posted on Hidden Hearts and Hidden Hearts
Boards at the end of the evaluation process.
Chapter 04 - About the Prizes
Clause 18: Two winners only will be elected out of all fanfic
submissions. They will be displayed on Hidden Hearts with a special badge and
earn the right to request a Sesshoumaru and Kikyou themed fanart from:
I - Seifer-sama, for the first place winner;
II - Miko_Sun, for the second place winner;
Clause 19: The aforementioned artists will work, finish and send the
fanarts they're respectively responsible for according to the available time
they might have.
Clause 20: Awarded fanart can and will be posted on Hidden Hearts and
any other websites that might have interest in them, as long as they have their
respective author's permission.
