He exhaled deeply, feeling the panic that had so filled him before dissapate like vapor in the morning sun... "Thank you..." Was all he could manage, though his mind mulled over the name she had labeled him with... It was strange to say the least, but not harsh... Though he had to wonder how he had come to be hailed under the calling of 'dog demon'.
In the warm reassurance of her presense, he found the strength to lift his head, turning strikingly violet oculars into her own, honest gray ones. "... What do you intend to do with me?" He murmured softly, trying to derive some meaning from the sadness that lingered within the stormy depths... Was she sad because of him...? Sad that she, divine as she was, would have to lower and debase herself to help a pathetic creature such as himself...? Somehow, a part of him murmured a definitive 'no'... The angel couldn't be that vain.

The miko reached out to gently brush a few raven, blood-stained bangs off Inuyasha's face. "Well, first we'll have to clean up these wounds of yours...and then I suppose we'll have to try and get you to remember who you are..."

A callous snort came from Sesshoumaru's general direction. The taiyoukai near rolled his eyes, giving his long, silvery hair a careless flip. He was not so much worried about a possible attraction from Kikyou to his loathesome half-brother, but rather the opposite. That and he found his hand itching to wield Tokijjin and cut him down where he lay. The old hate was resurfacing. His love spanned decades and so did his hate. He was still adamant about bringing InuYasha's end.
(Awwh ;.;...)

A soft smile tugged at the corners of his lips, his strong brows relaxing at the gentle brush of her fingers... Quite frankly, he didn't care to find out who he was... All that really mattered was the here and now, the fact that he was alive. "N...No need..." He replied, lowering his head once before bracing his knuckles against the ground and heaving himself, with much difficulty, into an upright sitting position. "This blood... Most all of it isn't my own... And the really, only wound I sustain is one to my head..." Speaking of his head, perhaps he shouldn't have ventured to sit up... As it was beginning to swim, very badly.

"Well, we'll check this wound on your head, then." She urged him to lay down once more, her tone as soft and gentle as that of a protective mother tending to her child. "You'd better rest a while longer, though. I'll go get some herbs and warm water, but I'll be back soon, alright?"
Sparing one last glance at the injured man, Kikyou rose to her feet and made her way to the taiyoukai, resting a pale hand on his shoulder. "Hey..." She cranned her neck up and placed her chin on his other shoulder, tilting her head sideways so that she could whisper in his ear. "No need to look away...I'm not near Inuyasha anymore..."

He remained staring off into the distance for a few moments. At last, he rolled his eyes to meet her gaze. His stony features did not budge for some time. At last, he nodded stiffly. "I know." He replied simply. "...I...I apologize for my behavior, koishii, but I will not feel well until you are no longer in his presence...So please," He winced, his face softening, "Don't ask me to."

"I know..." She sighed, allowing her hands to slid down from his shoulders to his chest and wrap around him in a tight, loving embrace.
Torn. That was the best word to describe her feelings at that exact moment. She could not leave an old friend to his doom, not when rescuing him was a rather easy task... But neither could she bare to see her beloved in such depressing situation... What to do...? What to do...?
"Is there..." She finally started after a tender kiss on his cheek, having decided that requesting a suggestion was not such a bad idea. "...anything I can do to make you feel better...? Anything...?"

He regarded her solemnly for a few moments, before shaking his head. "Nothing."

"Alright...." Her heart felt as heavy as the sigh that followed her single word, and for the first time in a long while, the miko found herself in the verge of tears. She wanted to make him feel better so badly... But for the time being, the only thing she could do was to stand there with her arms around him, in what she hoped to be a comfortable and warm embrace.

He allowed her to dally in her affections for a few moments before he pulled away, trying to regain the smoothness of his voice but failing and ending up sounding gruff instead. "Err..."

"Well, I have to go back to the village now, to get some medical supplies and such..." The miko spared him a gentle smile as a shy hand made its way to his. "Are you coming with me...?"

He wanted to say no. He hated the village. The accusing stares, the curious glances, and the cold sneers. But he refused to leave her side. "Surely," He agreed in what he hoped to be an amiable tone, but which really sounded uneasy.

She nodded, a deceptively low sigh escaping her lips. She knew how much it bothered Sesshoumaru to go to human villages - and truth be told, he probably hated being seen with a human. She wanted them to be together, though...and if they were really going for a possible relationship, they'd have to grow used to such situations.
"Good." Her smile widened slightly as she gently rubbed the back of his hand with the tip of her fingers. "Shall we go, then?"

"Mmm," He decided, with a faint nod. He turned her fingers over so that they grazed his palm, before clasping her hand tightly, intertwining said fingers and his own.

One brief glance was spared at the hanyou-turned-human from the corner of earth-brown oculars, just seconds before they turned to the tall youkai walking by her side. She felt a sudden wave of happiness wash over her being, her smile growing even wider, if possible. Was it so wrong to feel that way when her former lover's life was at stake? Perhaps it was...
It could not be helped, though. Allowing a soft sigh to escape her lips, the miko tightened her grip on Sesshoumaru's hand and moved closer to him, head resting against his shoulder as they made their way to the village.
