Seconds flew by and after a minute or two of utter silence, Hanako and Keiko finally gave up on waiting for the rest of the answers. "You're no fun..." The brown-haired one mumbled with a pout.
This time, Kikyou did laugh. Having Sesshoumaru being showered with incessant questions was rather amusing, and his reactions somehow worked as comic relief. "Give him a break, girls." She knelt down and placed her gentle hands on their shoulders. "Sesshoumaru is not all that bad once you get to know him." Mahogany oculars sought golden, and a shy smile sprouted on her face. "Not bad at all."

He scowled at the soft way she portrayed him, promptly crossing his arms across his chest and looking the other way, one eye twitching every so often in obvious irritation.

Even though Sesshoumaru probably did not see it, the miko spared him yet another smile and turned her attention to the two girls. "Hanako, Keiko... I need your help with something..."
"Hmm?" They asked in unison, lifting their gazes to meet Kikyou's.
"A friend of mine is hurt in the woods, and I need some medical supplies in order to tend to his wounds..." She whispered those words as to not let the taiyoukai listen to them; the fact that he wasn't human and had an unnaturally acute sense of hearing having slipped out of her mind for a second. "Could you get me some, please?"
"Hai!" Hanako and Keiko replied at the same time once again, nodding in consent.
"Good." Kikyou smiled kindly at them and came to her feet, dusting her hakama off. "I'll go pick some medicinal herbs meanwhile. We shall meet here in about half an hour, alright?"
"Okay!" The raven-haired kid nodded with a smile and ran back to the village, pulling her friend by the arm and waving at the priestess with her free hand. "Don't worry, Kikyou-sama! We'll be back with everything you need in no time!!"
Kikyou waved back at the girls, watching intently until their forms disappeared among the shadows. "We should get going too." Noticing the irritated look on the demon lord's face, she sighed and carefully approached him from behind, her arms snaking around his body as she enveloped him in a warm embrace. "You are not mad because I told the girls you were nice, are you...?"

He scoffed, waving her words away. "No." That wasn't entirely the truth, but it wasn't a lie either. He just felt a few waves of irritation crashing over him for some reason or another, and has resigned to letting them take control.

"Oh..." Her voice was so low that even a whisper could not match that tone, and her somewhat saddened expression, hiding underneath the shadows of her raven bangs. "Well... I'm sorry I made you upset, anyway..."

He sighed softly, immediately trounced by guilt. "...No," He shook his head. "It's not you...Not really, anyway."

"If it isn't me, then who?" Her deep pools of mahogany color looked up at his amber oculars, as though searching for an answer. "Don't tell me it's the girls... All they did was to ask you...quite a lot of questions, after all..."

Resting his chin in the crook of her shoulder, he gave a shrug of his own. "I don't know myself," He confessed. "I just don't feel like being very pleasant, at the moment, for some reason or other."

"I really hope it's not because I'm here." Ragas said walking in. "I could swear I kept my energy down."

Startled, the taiyoukai all but jumped from the shrine maiden's side. Seeing Ragas, he visibly relaxed. "Oh, it's you. No, I don't think that's the problem."

"Your not going crazy again are you? The last time you did that, you nearly tore off my arm."

Sesshoumaru smiled wryly; "You know that wasn't my fault," He reminded the other man.

At this, he sighed. "Yes, I know."

"Sooooo, seeing as I was sent back here again, I can guess there is a problem."
