Kanna paused and looked towards Shippo. Grinning slightly, she asked, "Were you mowing the lawn on your day off?"

Shippou sweatdropped. "Err, no, not exactly. Just doing a little garden work, that's all. Kirara would have wanted it this way." He proudly declared.

"I see..." She trailed off then abruptly stood up. "I better get going... Left Naraku the limo and if he gets back home before I do then Uncle O's gonna have a fit. Enjoy the rest of your day off..." With that said, the snow white haired girl quickly walked around the dog and Shippo and began walking down the sidewalk.

Shippou gave the dog a queer look, once Kanna had disappeared from sight and earshot. "Was it just me or did she get the funniest look on her face at the mention of Kirara?" He half-inquired, half mused as he scratched the mutt's belly idly. "Ah well..."

"I need a nice hot shower to calm my nerves..." Kanna muttered as she continued on her way. She couldn't help but feel somewhat annoyed at the mention of Kirara's name.
She knew Kirara... Or had met her at least once, and that little... encounter of theirs wasn't the happiest. By the end of that night, it had Naraku and Kagura about ready to jump out of their seats at dinner, itching to strangle Kirara while Kanna just stared on in horror as the exchange of insults from both families continued. "Not good..."

Shippou eyed the mutt and then shrugged, scooping it up into his arms, illicitating a delighted squeal from the animal. Inside his house, he set it down in the kitchen and fetched an old bowl out from under the sink, filling it with scraps of food.

Kanna stopped dead in her tracks, a look of pure horror on her face as her head slowly turned back to the direction she just came from. She had forgotten the dog... "...Damnit!!" She cursed, turning around and running back the way she just came.
When she had gotten there, she came to a halt in front of Shippo's house only to groan for the dog was nowhere in sight. "Where did he go now...?"

The dog was happily munching down scraps in Shippou's kitchen but the coppery-haired boy released him into the yard soon after, going back inside and plopping down on the couch.

Kanna's head turned in the direction of the dog's familiar bark and before she knew it, she was lunged at. Squeaking, she picked up the dog and hugged it as she walked down the sidewalk. "We better get going... It's already dark out."
Taking a deep breath when walking up the porch steps, her pale hand clutched the doorknob, shoving the door open. "I'm--" She began, only to bite her lip. The living room was completely thrashed. Which meant...
"Kanna!!" Bad bad bad...
"Y-yes Uncle?" Kanna asked meekly while the dog remained silent.
"Oh you're finally home... Well your brother's getting ready and you better too-- there's a business dinner with a bunch of companies in a couple of hours."
"....Why didn't you tell me this morning?"
"You never asked..." Her uncle simply replied with a shrug before going back into the kitchen.

The phone rang. Startled, Shippou jolted out of his light doze on the cough and lumbered over to it. "Hello?"
"..." Let the hyperventilating start.
"Uhh...Yeah...It's my day off, actually...What? A business dinner? Oh...I can do that..."
"Err...Bye...Kirara..."

Kanna looked over to her right towards a fountain shimmering in the moonlight with a frown. Her brother walked silently next to her, paying no notice to her reluctance as the girl's white sandals clicked against the stone steps. Her pale hands hung limply at her sides as a pale blue dress clung to her frail form loosely. "Naraku..." She spoke quietly, almost too quiet for him to hear, "Kagura isn't here... Please don't get into an arguement like last time..."
Her reply was a grunt as they walked through the doors.

"...You came," A quiet voice broke the silence of the evening. Shippou was met with a hurt look. "...Not like I thought you'd invite me somewhere and like...Not come but...Yeah. So who are we having this "dinner" with?"
"...Kanna?" ..."Oniguno Kanna?" Shit. "No, nothing's the matter, Kirara. Just thinking..."

"Kanna!" Ayame called out jovially as she practically floated down some random set of stairs towards the shocked pale girl. "What are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same." Kanna said almost happily as her features brightened. "Though I'm not complaining-- seeing a friendly face that is."
Ayame raised an eyebrow then shrugged. "Uncle wanted me to scope this place out... says that 'good businnes' can happen here or something like that. You?"
"Dinner... with somebody supposedly..." She said dully. "Business business business... next I'll be on a plane to Italy or something..."

Sesshoumaru chewed his food thoughtly, as he sat alone at his table. His house was feeling unnaturally cold and he could not help but feel uneasy.

"A plane to Italy huh? By all means... take me with you then!" Ayame giggled as the two girls followed Naraku up to a waiter. When the older boy turned to face the two giving a glare, Ayame rolled her eyes. "Anyways... I'll talk to you later Kan!"
"See ya Ayame." Kanna trailed off, giving her brother a blank look in return. "You're such a jerk sometimes..." And with that said, she walked off after the waiter with her brother scowling behind her.
