Miroku's azure orbs briefly scanned the cafeteria for a place to sit. Quickly locating a booth along the wall opposite the entrance, he glided smoothly across the room and slid into the booth. He was supposed to be meeting this hot-shot from another company within two hour's time anyway, at a coffe house even, and figured it best if he didn't eat or drink anything at the moment, that way of the man turned out to be a dull prat, he would have something to do.

After finally waiting online for about five minutes while trying to ignore the feeling of someone watching her, Ayame handed the money to the cashier. Eyes scanning the room for a moment, she found Miroku and walked over. "I never knew bagels were so popular."
Sitting down across from the boy, she threw a bottle of water towards his hands as she opened her own. "I kinda didn't know if you wanted anything or not and I wanted to get you something as an apology for my rudeness before... Sorry it's kinda just water though."

"S'quite okay," he assured her, glancing down at the bottle in his hands before unscrewing the cap and taking a swig. "Thanks."

Ayame gave a small smile as she leaned back into the booth's seat. Her arms moving forward slightly in a stretch, she looked up towards the ceiling. "So much stress in the business world..."

"You're telling me," he snorted softly, taking another sip from the water bottle, this time a big one that brought the bottle's contents down to only half full. Glancing around briefly, he noted that the few tables that had been open when they arrived were now occupied and looked back at her with a fairly surprised gaze. "Wow, we sure avoided the brunt of the crowd."

One eye cracked open as she looked to the other tables. "Sure got that right. But it's only..." She glanced down at her watch. "Eleven forty five. Joy... I get to look forward to some formal dinner later tonight." This caused her to roll those seagreen orbs of hers.

"Eh..." he grumbled. "I go to some stupid lunchean in two hours,"

Ayame gave a sympathetic look, "I hate those... But if you want an excuse to get out of half of it then act like you're not feeling well and pretend like you're going to throw up as you run to the bathroom. After that it's smooth sailing because they'll listen to whatever you say. Need a walk? Done. Wanna leave? Done."

Miroku's expression split into a grin. "Awfully devious, aren't you? But," he added, looking thoughtful, "That's a good idea."

Ayame grinned herself, "Why thank you... If you ever need any other ideas, just ask. I'm great at thinking of ways to get out of business meetings."

"I can tell," he smirked. "You don't really seem like the type, now that I know you a little better that is, who'd enjoy them."

Ayame shrugged as she opened her water and took a sip. "I don't appear to be the type who would want to pursue a career in singing too. My grandfather and uncle juts laughed when I told them because they thought that it was absolutely ridiculous."

While the two talked, Kouga watched, his coffee forgotten. His stomach was clenching with a very, VERY unfamiliar emotion that he couldn't put his finger on...

A thoughtful look appeared on the girl's face as she tapped her finger on the table. "I don't look much like a singer though..." She laughed slightly, "More like a singer's manager right now."

Miroku observed her carefully. "I could see it," he told her truthfully. "With the right getup...Definitely,"
