{Yeah...maybe I should've compared her to Rin instead. Jaken...*pulls out a giant mallet, a malevolent look in her eyes*}

[*smirks and extracts a heavy roll of a *certain* kind of silvery tape from one of the numerous folds in her thick, black cloak*]

Kikyou remained silent, staring at nothing in particular as she hugged her knees closer to her. She would admit she had wished to meet the notorious King of Bandits, yes, but none of her scenarios could compare to that - none of them portrayed her as his hostage, let alone his queen-to-be...
She never said that last one would be such a bad idea, though.

The ferocious storm finally let up. Sesshoumaru stayed put an additional five minutes or so, just to be sure. They would still have to hurry. Even if it did not return immediately, it would circle around and head back in their direction, repeating this vicious cycle many times, til at last, it had lost all its backing. Clearing his throat, he murmured, "Let's go."
---
Shippou sighed, surveying the damage. They'd get some of next expedition's funds knocked off, that's for sure. Oh well, at least they hadn't lost anything of great import.

Listening to the wind finally ceasing it's seemingly neverending howl, she finally let her grey eyes flutter shut. A dreamless slumber followed as her last thought was that of wondering if her fiance would come back to her anytime soon.

Like many people, Kinryou too was waiting for someone to return...that is if they survived the sandstorm...

Shippou's crew got sent home. Angry protests and even some deadly threats...They had all risked their lives to trek out here in the first place, not to mention faced that massive storm...And when things were going their way, they got sent home? Shippou was only mildly disappointed.
The crew packed what had survived the storm and immediately set back in the direction they had come from.

A loud crash. A horrified scream followed by the loud clunking of boots on the stone outside.
Kanna's grey eyes flew open, her peaceful slumber long since forgotten as she listened to the "chaos" out her door. She sighed. This was the third night in a row when a drunk was wandering the streets in their little city. The thing was... she didn't know why they were coming to this part.
Sliding off of her bed, she walked to the window, glancing out to see the drunk walking straight towards her door. Her heart quickened for a short moment until she opened the door just as the drunk was about to and punched him square in the nose. Then, she shoved him away and slammed her door shut. Gods this was going to be one of those weeks...
[w00t! o.o;; Kick arse Kanna!!!]

"Alright." She rose to her feet, dusted her outfit off as best as she could and made her way to Sesshoumaru, sparing a quick look at the scratch on his arm. On some level, she felt bad about it, though she showed no signs of it. "Where to now?"

He glanced at the horses. "We ride," He murmured, after a moments thought. "Hard," He added, almost as an afterthought. "There's no more shelters between here and where we're headed, so the faster, the better."

"And where exactly are we headed?" She stood by one of the horses and brought one hand up to her eyes, in an attempt to protect them from the sand. "I see no signs of civilization for miles..."

"My stronghold," he offhandedly replied. "And of course you wouldn't see it, even if it was standing right next to you...It is, afterall, a master of its time...Practically invisible to the unwary eye."

Kinryou stood up, stretching again. It was then that she noticed a pair of figures off in the distance.
'Could it be that Sesshoumaru-sama has returned?'

He and Kikyou had ridden hard for some time, after he had answered all her persistant questions. As they approached the stronghold, he noticed a shadowy figure up ahead. "Allllloooo!" He screamed, raising his scimitar in greeting.
