Sesshoumaru paid no mind to her nervousness, shrugging loftily as he swept over to one of the massive bookcases and began to scan it with his smoldering eyes, in search of one ancient tome in particular.

Ayame let out a deep sigh, falling backwards onto a conveniently placed chair. "Sesshomaru-sama... if you don't mind me asking, what are you going to do about that... Naraku character if he shows his face?"

"Why," Sesshoumaru lifted his head to face her, a chilling smile pulling at his lips, making him look rather feral and completely dangerous. "I'm going to kill him, of course."

She eyed him wearily as she leaned back in her seat. "Like the last time...?"

For a moment, just a moment, his unfiltered rage was directed at her. "That was on enemy territory."

Another sigh escaped her as she asked softly, in no way meaning to offend him. "How could I have forgotten that minor detail..."

"That little sneak," Sesshoumaru plowed eye, teeth gritted, almost outright oblivious of Ayame at this point, "He ran away like a coward. Had he been anywhere but there at the time of our confrontation, he would be buried out there in the stinking desert already."

"Then I suppose you want me to make sure Kikyo isn't anywhere near him so he can't pull another cowardly stunt like a previous time?" She asked, regarding him carefully.

Naraku glared into Rin's eyes, thinking of what to comit next. The young girl has been very loyal, as Kanna, though something of truth still is seen upon her. Naraku done as he had done with Kohaku...erased the mind of the child and used her like another doll. Though, he now would realize his thoughts and mistakes. He just wanted to be in control, but evil being his strength would only make all odds turn worse.
"What is Rin to do now, Naraku-sama?" Rin looked away from Naraku, and stared out of the open window across from her.
"Have you seen Kanna lately, Rin?" Naraku asked, with a sharp tone in his voice, ignoring what Rin had just asked him. He hadn't seen Kanna since the day he captured Rin and used her like he had done before with another. Not only that, but he had said some things to Kanna, that might have hurt her enough to leave...though he didn't think she could feel emotions or even pain. Rin continued to look out into the pitch black sky, not even bothering to answer Naraku's question.
"Alright...since you need something to do...stay here and look after this temple...it was some work to take it over from those bastards who lived here, so look after it carefully...you understand?" Naraku listed what was to be done, and stood up from where he was sitting. He had nothing to do right now, and all he thought of was someone who always had been there for him, eaither to fight or just to be close with, he thought of his dearest Kanna. Yet emotions could not get in his wicked way, or destroy his power of evil, so he was only to look for the white child, and just bring her back, as if he could possibly careless. Naraku looked one last time at the possesed Rin, and went on his way, out the open door, into the night.

Kanna dully looked out the window towards the full moon above. A few more days had gone by and still no return of her dearest fiance. "Something... couldn't have gone wrong..." She told herself stubbornly as she glared outside.
Her heart beat quickened as her breath hitched. It was an uncomfortable feeling she longed to forget. As many times as she tried to put it to the back of her mind, it would always seem to make her wake up suddenly in the middle of the night drenched in a cold sweat. "Naraku..."
--
Ayame glanced outside once more when not receiving a response from her leader. Clearing her throat, she couldn't help but let her mind wander to the thought of that blue eyed man.

Naraku looked up at the stars, knowing he was near something. The certain sense he got was very familiar, and he would follow where it was coming from. But what he thought about was how he would convice Kanna to forgive him. His words would probabaly be unforgetable to the girl, but Naraku could only wait to see how she would react.

As Rin stood gaurd of the abandoned temple, she thought over things in the past. All she could remember was Naraku and her everything he made her do. He had control, and she had nothing but orders to follow. Maybe if she could fight aginst him while he thinks she is as loyal as Kanna, Rin can kill him herself. She coulden't remember her past, but if his death was to come she would always have that in mind. Rin looked at her weapons. Twin blades used to be stained with blood of who she choose. Rin only wanted to be free as she had been. Not controled like a puppet.

She began to pace, a habit well exercised when she was nervous or anxious. She remembered Shippo's words as if he had told her yesterday... 'If you keep pacing like you're doing everytime you're nervous, you're going to make a hole in the floor.' She smiled at the memory of his voice, opting to sit on a chair instead. However, she knew that not even the memory of his voice would calm her jittered nerves at the moment.

A thud was heard just outside Kanna's door, as if someone had been slammed into it.
