...he went through the barrier, followed by a loud, glowing burst of purple energy behind him.
Kikyou knew it wasn't a good sign. Even though Sesshoumaru had managed to break through the miasma wall, his body, though strong and powerful as it was, would most likely suffer the consequences. She knew it by own experience, after all.
'He's strong... Maybe the miasma won't affect him that much... Hopefully...'
With that thought in mind, the miko walks toward the huge, silver hound, oddly worrying about his conditions.
(You're evil, Shia... but now I have my pay-back time, and you decide whether the miasma affected him or not! XD)

The enormous hound lay there, panting in the dew-kissed grass. He would need a few moments of rest before he would have the strength to transform back. Powerful as he was, doing such a thing consumed a rather large amount of youki.
He felt an irritating nagging sensation deep within his body somewhere, as if something foreign were invading it, but he shook his head rabidly, bits of foam from his jowels flying to coat the tops of nearby trees, making it seem rather like snow.
When he was finally able to transform back, he remained lying there for a few minutes more, silky hair fanned out underneath him. He heard dainty footsteps approaching, and assumed it was the miko. Therefor, stubbornly, he did not make a move til she was right beside her.
That strange feeling was still present, though it seemed to be largely concentrating on his left leg. He shifted a bit, to examine it, pulling up the linens and cloths to reveal...
(hah...now I am evil right back. Is his leg perfectly fine and just itchy, or is something wrong? xD)

...small purple stains, growing larger every second.
"Miasma..." She starts, kneeling beside the stubborn taiyoukai. "I warned you it would not be wise to do such a thing..."
The miko draws out an arrow and charges it with an intense purple light. With very narrow eyes, she glances at Sesshoumaru, pointing the sharp end of her weapon directly at him.
(Kiky: Now I'm gonna kill you for what you did on the other RP!!! XD)

Sesshoumaru winced as the purple blotches grew ever bigger. He saw her pointing an arrow at him, but as he figured what she was going to do, he stayed perfectly still, the only movements the rapid rising and falling of his chest as he struggled to breathe, as the wispy purple smoke strangled his lungs from within.

With one fluid movement of her arm, the miko pierces through his leg with her purifying arrow, allowing her spiritual energy penetrate into the demon's body and fight the poisonous miasma running freely throughout his blood. As soon as those stains start fading away, Kikyou lowers her head and moans, her hands cupping over her chest and, despite all her pain, she smiles weakly to herself, relieved that she was able to heal the taiyoukai.

Sesshoumaru gritted his teeth, but the pain of his arrow wound was far less than the pain the miasma had presented, so in a moment, he was able to stand, despite all that had happened. He allowed his pant leg to roll back down, covering the wound. "...Are you...alright?" his voice was gruff, yes, but the concern was still there. He was rather surprised at himself, but he continued gazing intently at her.

"I'm... fine..." She replies after a moment or two, pulling herself up with some difficulty. Using her bow for support, she goes on. "I was... forced to use a greater amount of my powers than I expected... That's all.."

"But..." he trailed off, "You appear in...no condition to continue..." he motioned to her use of the bow to support herself. "Perhaps I should go on ahead alone?"

"I am fine." She insists, stubbornl and draws her bow back, trudging her way forth. She still felt rather weak, but she would never allow herself to show such weakness before anyone, let alone the arrogant Sesshoumaru.

He frowned, recognizing stubborness when he sees it. Sighing, he shook his head and followed her, for she seemed to have taken the lead. Presently, they came to a small dwelling...

"It's getting stronger..." She whispers, more to herself than anything, as she suddenly pauses right in the middle of a clearing, rain still falling heavily right upon them. She turns back and faces Sesshoumaru, who ironically seemed to be feeling much better than her. "Still can't catch her scent?"

Sesshoumaru inhales sharply, taking in all the scents of the surrounding area. His nose locked onto the dwelling, as his eyes had earlier. "...I catch her scent when the wind blows northeast..." he said presently. "But there's something over there in that little hut...For it reeks of evil..."

"I see..." The miko turns to look at said hut, feeling a strong, evil aura coming from it. It wasn't exactly Naraku's, or any of his offsprings' presence, but it was very sinister nonetheless. "Should we go check it, or keep looking for Rin?"

"Well," Sesshoumaru paused to consider this. "The hut itself is in the North-East, and if that is the direction that the wind carrying Rin's scent is coming from, that means we'll have to walk past the hut as we go on searching, so I suppose we could spare a quick look, in case the dwelling yields any clue to her or that hanyou's where-abouts,"

"SIT BOY!!" Boom. The hanyou was down in less than a second. "Don't you DARE to that to me again! You had me and the others worried there!" Higurashi Kagome scolded Inuyasha, the hanyou, who's face was now plastered in the dirt. Of course, last night was the second time he had left the group to find out what there was over around where the miasma was. Sango, Miroku, and Shippou watched un-surprised of what Kagome had said to Inuyasha.
Kagome sighed and walked a little away from the group. Something was bothering her about the forest they were staying at. She wondered.
why am I feeling as if this is a bad area to rest?
She returned to the group and sat down between Inuyasha and Sango. She turned up to talk to Miroku, who was sitting there, thinking. "Houshi-sama, may I ask, do you feel a bit odd staying in this forest?" But what Kagome didn't know was, there was a miasma nearby.
