"Sounds like a plan to me." The young lady shrugs and smiles, still a little unsure of herself. "Oh, and maybe we could also..."
"Senshi! Higurashi!" Myouga-sensei calls out, sparing them an annoyed glance. "I'm sure you two have very important business to discuss about, but would you mind doing it after class?"
"...G-gomen nasai." Kikyou looks back down at her books, sweatdropping and blushing furiously as curious and surprised glances were directed at her.

"Sure thing," Sesshoumaru muttered under his breath, sparing an irritated scowl right back at the old geezer of a sensei from beneath his bangs, when said old-man was not looking. Leaning over, he whispered, "You can tell me after class, though," before falling silent, pretending to diligently absorb what Myouga-sensei was blathering on about, though truth be told his thoughts were once again held by his beautiful row-mate, nearly flustering at their earlier closeness, for he rather realized that from outside point of view, they would have looked...And it would have appeared that he...He shook his head quickly, as if that would banish the thoughts. Hah.

With that familiar red glow on her face, she nods in consentment at the young male next to her and turns back to stare at her books right afterwards, trying as hard as she could to focus on the professor's never-ending lecture. Her efforts were in vain, though; all of a sudden, that class had lost whatever appeal it could possibly have, almost driving Kikyou to go off into dreamland.
Not willing to become the highlight -and not in a good way- of the day, she decides to just doodle on her notebook, carefully enough to make it seem as if she is taking real notes, should Myouga-sensei approach. She starts with a "Things to do this schoolyear" list: first and most urgently, she had to get herself rid of Kagome's lazy, unsuitable habits, then she had to work even harder to be first place in her course once again, then she would get a job, then... Before she even notices, the halfword 'Sen' was stamped on her pages, right next to her name.
'What am I doing...? Why the heck did I write...Oh, Lord!'
Finally realizing what those three letters stood for, she quickly writes down a few more words, so it would now read 'Kikyou, Sengoku Jidai, search for info on it.' Smiling proudly at the good disguising work she had done on it, she sighs in relief.

He had followed similar suit quite some time ago. But, instead of writing, he took the riskier activity of sketching. Soon, too absorbed in his work to realize just what, or rather who he was sketching, he began casting his row-mate furtive glances, transferring her loveliness onto paper. Around the time when he had finished her face and hair, and was left with a carbon copy staring up at him, he began to notice. In an effort to disguise this, he made to pull out another sheet of paper, to at once start sketching another classmate, but in his rush to to so, the paper was picked up by the 'wind' his sudden movements made, and sent sailing over to her desk. ".................."
Kuso.

"Hmm?" Kikyou looks down at her desk as a piece of paper 'magically' lands on it, its blank side facing up. She reaches out to hold it, turning it over as her hand, followed by a tilting movement of her head, brings it closer to her face.
"What is this... uh..." Her chocolate pools widen at that beautifully done sketch, glancing at the 'artist' from the corner of her shy eyes, blushing quite considerably.

Sesshoumaru blushed furiously; ever drawing that had been a horrid, horrid mistake. Rather than risking catching Myouga-sensei's attention yet another time, he just mouthed a quick, "Keep it..." pretending as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
After that, he immersed himself a little too deeply in his studies.

She stares at him for quite some time, blinking rapidly in awe. When she finally manages to turn away, she finds herself facing a dilemma: what were she to with that sketch? If someone found it in her stuff, they were bound to make questions, and if she told them who drew that picture, they would most likely make those oh-so-childish comments...
Great! That's the last thing I need!
She splats the paper down on her desk and puts pressure on both ends, ready to tear it down. Then she spares one last glance at the sketch and suddenly feels bad. It would be such a waste to do that to the drawing... Not to mention it would be rude... Plus, she does like the sketch, especially because Sesshoumaru had, somehow, managed to depict a more beautiful Kikyou... Finally making up her mind, she stuffs the sheet of paper inside her books, as that familiar shade of red returns to her cheeks.
Heh. To heck with what people will think.

Myouga-sensei finally dismissed them from their one-and-a-half hour block with him. Sesshoumaru gathered his things with a sigh of relief; for some reason, though this was a 'creative writing' class, he didn't leave feeling particularily creative.
Seeing that he compiled his possessions quicker than Kikyou, and a majority of students had already fled the room in terror, he thought it to be polite to wait for her, since she had to tell him something outside anyway.
He spared a glance at his watch and smiled; he was glad that no bells signaled the start of their classes, nor were they all crammed together. He had always appreciated that, and somehow he found himself appreciating that more than ever.

Letting loose a relieved sigh, Kikyou packs her belongings together, thanking the Heavens for putting an end to such torture that class was. She usually enjoyed writing, but for some 'odd' reason, she had taken to disliking the professor...
A few moments pass and she stands up, only to stumble her eyes upon Sesshoumaru, who seemed to have been waiting patiently for her. She then remembers they needed to talk about their project, so she walks up to him and starts, striving not to blush in front of him and be as natural as ever. "Thanks for waiting. Our next classes won't be till 20 minutes from now, so I guess we could use ths time to... discuss our project over? If you don't mind, that is..."
(We need someone to tease them!!!! Fast!!! XD)

"Of course not," Sesshoumaru flashed her as pleasant a smile as he could manage, breaking loose from his serious mode that he had refined into an art over the years. They had begun walking as they agreed to this, and had already reached the back of the room. Their backs were to the professor, therefor they did not catch Myouga-sensei's rather coniving little smirk. In any case, Sesshoumaru figured it the gentleman-ly thing to do, so he slid to the side and awkwardly pulled open the door, whatwith his arms being full of books, propping it open with his foot so she could go through. "After you," his voice all but coated in sugar. Sesshoumaru did not think Kikyou was one of 'those' girls as he had come to call them, but he was not going to be taking any chances. He had already slipped up one too many times. In his studies abroad, he had been pursued by many a woman, and no, actually, that was not a good thing. For they all wanted to use him in someway or another, you see. Anyway, he had promised to get close to no woman, and when it was required, in times such as this, to strategically errect a artificially sweet barrier between them. As he was laying the foundation right this moment. Again, Sesshoumaru did not think Kikyou was like that, as he had known her much better in days of old, when he had been crushing on her (though those feelings had never disappeared, more like buried), but he was not going to fall for anyone! He was quite fine on his own, thank you very much. (I gotcha covered ! Just wait til they sit down and get comfy, heehee...)

"Thank you." She nods politely as she goes through, returning his smile earlier. "Maybe we can go to the coffee place and start working on, or at least, planning our project?"
Eh? What is this? It sounds almost as if I were.... Heck, no!
"I mean, I could really use some coffee right now... having slept so little and such..." She shakes her head as if trying to get rid of her sleepiness, and also attempting to fix her previous sentence, which had sounded pretty much as an invitation.
(Hey, don't forget you have Miroku in your posession too! XD He can tease them!!! XD)

Sesshoumaru felt his cheeks going hot when she had started off speaking, but to his immense relief, they cooled down. Following her out the door, he nodded briskly. "Sure. I could use a pick-me-up too,"
(Hehe, you read my mind XD)

Kikyou felt a bit embarrassed to be followed by Sesshoumaru all the way to the coffee place. She knew it was not his fault, for he never been at the campus before, or at least she didn't think so, so it was natural for him to be somewhat lost... But she just couldn't help it but blushing slightly every now and then.
As they finally arrive at said coffee place, she looks for a nice, comfortable table to sit at. Luckily, not many students were hanging around there at that time of the day, so they wouldn't be disturbed in their studies.
"I'm gonna go to the counter and get some coffee..." She puts her books down on table near the window and turns to Sesshoumaru. "Can I get you want anything from there?"

""Err," Sesshoumaru stumbled over his answer to this question, "Just some coffee," he replied lamely. "Oh...uh...black," he added, realizing his error. He reached into his back pant pocket and extracted his wallet, handing her a crisp 10. "My treat," he smiled nervously. He only meant to be polite, but for some reason this seemed more an more like a......dreaded d word.

"Okay." Her cheeks fluster once more, especially when she realizes how nice she's been acting. Not that she was a mean or rude person; in fact, she was quite sweet around her female friends. When it came to guys, however, it was if she cast an ice barrier to protect herself from future harm. Some men were just not to be trusted, and she had learned it the hard way.
She walks up to the counter and orders two steaming-hot expressos. Too absorbed in her thoughts to even notice the vapor coming out of the cups, she grabs them with both hands, practically running back to the table as her palms start burning.
"Ouch!!" She almost drops the cups before Sesshoumaru, mumbling and blowing her pained hands. "It hurt..."
(Lol!! Dreaded d word!!! You bet! XD)
