"Should be," He mumbled into her hair, though it sounded rather funny with all traces of his arrogance gone.

"Oho, should I...?" Kikyou looked up at him and smirked, her tone teasingly sensuous. "Well, for your information..." Her fingers strolled through his long, silvery tresses for a second before she brought her lips up against his in a steeming kiss. "...you should never underestimate me either..." Came her low whisper right after she pulled away, keeping her face still close enough to feel his breath.

"I don't..." His eyes fluttered closed, his own breath ragged. He strained to capture her lips once more, but she always kept them just far enough... The sound that came from him startled him. It was rather like a peculiar cross between a growl and a whimper. Perhaps a whine.

The miko chuckled softly at his unexpected childish ways. "Well, I think you do." She let her lips meet Sesshoumaru's once again, as to grant him that simple whim of his. "I'm pretty sure that, back then when I was talking to Inuyasha, at one point or another, you thought I was going to retake my relationship with him, did you not?"

"..." He tried to open his mouth in protest but found that he could not meet her eyes.

There was no need for a verbal answer, for his silence spoke louder than words. "I made a promise not to ever leave your side..." She stroked his cheek and smiled, making her gaze meet his. "...and I don't plan on breaking that promise, you know..."#nosmileys

He simply nodded, not trusting his voice. But his eyes shone a little brighter than before, his hope having been fully rekindled by her simple yet soothing words.

(just a question, I'll start posting here soon, but I was just wondering who is playing Miroku. Just so I know...cause you told me Sango and Miroku are in the woods somewhere right?)

(alright cool, lol so I guess I'll just start walking around. Sango can be looking for Miroku as well. Do I play Kirara, or is that taken care of?)
Sango sighed and sat down on a mossy tree stump. She had been searching for the others for at least an hour and still she had had no luck. She wiped the sweat from her brow and stood once again. "I'll never find them unless I look for them.." Resignedly she began walking again. She hoped it was a different direction from what she had come. It wouldn't do for her to be walking in cirlces when she was already lost.

Miroku sighed, wiping the sweat from his forehead with the sleeve of his robes. It rather seemed as if it were growing more hot and humid by the moment, despite being shielded from the sun's rays under the dense foliage. He was not one to idly fret, but his concern was starting to overtake his generally calm demeanor. It'd been ages since he'd last seen anyone in the group, and he was worried. Presently, he came across a stump, and he stopped to rest. His eyes roamed the area and he noticed footprints in the mud around where he sat. A glint of hope in his eyes, he leapt up and pursued the tracks further into the forest...
[We've got no Kirara :D So you can take her, if you'd like, as she IS Sango's pet, lol.]

The once misfortunate bellflower allowed herself a brief moment of rest, her head against his chest. "Come on." She half unwillingly pulled away and reached for his hand, sparing it a gentle tug. "We still have to take Rin-chan to your castle before we set off."

(alright coolio, good to know)
Kirara suddenly stopped and turned to stare back in the opposite direction. Sango, realising that her companion was no longer following, turned to see what the problem was. Kirara wasn't growling or transforming, so it couldn't be a demon. "What is it Kirara?" The small demon trilled and began to run off back in the direction toward which they had come. "Kirara!" Sango firmed her grip on her hiraikotsu and ran after her. Seeing someone familiar up ahead, Sango slowed her pace to a walk. "Miroku, is that you?"

Miroku had been jogging for quite awhile when he spotted Kirara in his path. Soon after, he heard the very person he was so fervently searching for call out his name. A grin--a regular one, no amount of lechery involved whatsoever--spread across his face, lighting his worried features. "Lady Sango!" He called, in response, hastening his stride.
--
"Yes," Sesshoumaru nodded, looking suddenly weary. "You are correct, of course. We may speak idly at a later time."

"Miroku!" It IS him! She quickened her pace and wrapped her arms around Miroku's neck. Then, realising what she was doing, pulled away just as quickly. "How have you been?" A slight blush rose in her cheeks. "Do you know how we got split up? All I remember is suddenly being alone with only Kirara."
